VL602 Carbon Filter Description

The VL602 Filter is the replacement OEM 2nd stage vapor-lock pleated particulate carbon filter for Abatement Technologies, Inc.'s PAS600, PAS750, PRED600, PRED750, CAP600, CAP600-UV and CAP600-UVP Central Air Purification systems. The actual size of the VL602 carbon filter is approximately 15 1/2" x 16" x 2".

The VL602 2nd stage filter is a dual-purpose pleated filter. The VL602 has a layer of media for finer particulates and a layer of woven activated carbon media for absorption of gases and odors. The VL602 is used to reduce airborne odors, vapors or gases, (OVG's) including volatile organic compounds by chemically bonding the OVG molecules to the surface area of the carbon granules, via a process known as absorption. The VL602 MERV 7 carbon filter also provides a similar level of particulate filtration efficiency to the H502 pre-filter and can be used in place of or in addition to almost any 16 x 16 x 2 pre-filter.

The manufacturer recommends you change the 2nd stage filter every 6 to 9 months under normal operating conditions. For instructions on how to change your air cleaner's filter, please refer to your units Instruction Manual.

The Abatement Technologies VL602 pleated particulate carbon filter is UL 900 Class 2 listed.
